About The Position

River Commons Senior Living is looking for an experienced Van Driver to join our team. This position is part time. Scheduled hours are from Tuesday through Thursday, from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Job Summary : Under the direction of the Community Administrator, the Van Driver will coordinate and implement a driving program on a need to basis to meet the individual resident’s transportation needs and interests.

Requirements

• Valid CA Class C Driver License
• Clean Driving Record
• Experience in transportation
• Experience with the Senior Population

Responsibilities

• Drive the company van for weekly outings, weekly grocery shopping trips, weekly scheduled doctor’s appointments, and other scheduled outings when necessary.
• Requests and maintains equipment and supplies. (i.e., van cleaned regularly, refuel when needed, report needed repairs to Maintenance Supervisor)
• Coordinates with the Administrator and other department heads all social/recreational programs involved with residents of the facility.
• Complete daily safety inspection and log
• Performs other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor (Community Administrator).
