About The Position

We are actively recruiting for a Patient Transport Van Driver to join our growing team at Community Eye Specialists. Patient Transport Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting patients between the clinic and the ASC. This role requires excellent driving skills, a compassionate attitude, and a strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and punctuality. The driver serves as an important part of the care team by ensuring paitents arrive comfortably and on time for their appointment. Patient Transport Van Driver will also assist patients entering and exiting the vehicle, including those with limited movility. Ensure wheelchair securement and passenger safety restraints are properly applies, Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-maintained vehile at all times. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues prompty. Maintain accurate transport logs, mileage records, and incident reports. Patient Transport Van Driver will communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding patient pick-up and drop-off times, follow HIPPA guidelines, and be courteous, respectful and professional at all times.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 2 years of safe driving experience
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and mortor vehicle record check
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed (up to 50 lbs)
Basic knowledge of defensive driving practices
