Van Driver/School Age Floater Teacher

As our community grows, we are seeking a Van Driver (School Age Children)/Float Teacher to join our team in Easton, PA! What you’ll do As our Van Driver/Float Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe space where children can explore and learn literacy, science, math, art, computers, dramatic play, and other skills with hands-on activities. Day to day you’ll: Drive our school-age children to and from 3 local elementary schools in our 9-passenger van When not driving, you’ll work to assist the teachers throughout all of our classrooms On days when the school-age children do not need transportation, you’ll focus on assisting in our school-age classroom Whether driving or floating in the classrooms, you’ll: Create a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes learning and growth Effectively communicate with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and concerns Maintain a safe and clean van and classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and cohesive educational program Attend training sessions to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- A safe driver with a deep understanding of child development is essential
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p, or 9:30a-6:00 pm
- Experience: 2+ years of full-time childcare experience in a classroom setting is required
- Education/Certification: Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a degree in Early Childhood Education is required
- Age & licensure requirement: To drive our van, you must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid, clear driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance
- Location: We are located at 41 North 3rd Street in Easton, PA and you’d be driving the van to Wilson, Paxinosa, and Cheston Elementary Schools
- Skills required: A positive attitude, flexibility, creativity, patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children are a must!
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Organizational skills, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Drive our school-age children to and from 3 local elementary schools in our 9-passenger van

- Focus on assisting in our school-age classroom on days when the school-age children do not need transportation
