About The Position

This position will serve in a dual role as a Rehab Therapy Tech and Van Driver PRN positions available! The Van Driver performs a variety of direct patient care activities including: assisting and accompanying all patients who are transferred to and from the facility via the facility van, and assisting in maintenance when van activities are complete. This position provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven
  • CPR and First Aid Training
  • Must be 25 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous transportation experience required
  • CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).

Responsibilities

  • Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
  • Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
  • Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
