Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License (CDL is NOT required) and have a good driving record with no traffic violations.
  • Must be able to safely operate noncommercial passenger vans.
  • Must be insurable through agency's automobile insurance carrier.
  • Must possess good verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates agency's noncommercial passenger van for purposes of transporting clients to and from service locations.
  • Follows assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Insures compliance of agency's transportation rules and procedures.
  • Abides by all laws and safety procedures.
  • Completes mileage and transportation logs.
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicle and performs daily inspection checklist.
  • Reports needed repairs and maintenance to Supervisor for scheduling.
  • Forwards fuel and related expense receipts to supervisor.
  • Reports emergency situations to the appropriate Department Director(s).
  • Assists with minor housekeeping and sanitizing within assigned facility as needed during down time in transportation routes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
