About The Position

As a Valve Technician I, you will be responsible for fitting mechanical parts and subassemblies into different types of machinery and products. This position involves conducting measures of products and making necessary adjustments, as well as maintaining your workstation according to established trade and shop practices. You will work under close supervision and typically have 0-2 years of experience. The role requires someone willing to learn a new trade through on-the-job training.

Requirements

• Able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Willingness to learn a new trade through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble fittings on tank cars.
• Test, rebuild, and test valves to reveal possible defects.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed and perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
