Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of current medical, surgical and pharmaceutical treatment modalities of the cardiothoracic surgical patient.
• Experience in program development, quality improvement, research, development of evidence based clinical protocols, and regulatory readiness program planning.
• Previous experience in professional presentations and group education.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

Nice To Haves

• Threeyears of nursing experience incardiology or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of evaluation and screening process for patients with cardiac disease being evaluated for complex cardiac surgery.
• Serve as the primary point person for the valve team, including physicians, patients, and other clinical professionals.
• Coordination of inter-departmental processes and communication.
• Make recommendations to physician team for final determination.
• Serve as patient navigator.
