Value Stream Supervisor

Dexter Magnetic Technologies is seeking a Value Stream Supervisor to lead a team of machine operators and assemblers in a manufacturing environment that adheres to AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008 standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the value stream operates efficiently and effectively, focusing on quality, productivity, and safety. The supervisor will be responsible for motivating and managing direct labor, which includes staffing, policy adherence, time and attendance management, coaching, training, performance management, and, if necessary, disciplinary actions. The supervisor will also maintain a safe work environment, proactively working to eliminate risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. In this position, the supervisor will communicate daily performance metrics using visual management tools and maintain the value stream board that tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), root cause problem identification, and corrective actions. Leading daily production meetings with direct reports, the supervisor will report on KPIs, discuss countermeasures, and assist in providing solutions to meet and exceed departmental targets. Continuous improvement is a key focus, with the supervisor expected to develop and implement strategies based on value stream mapping events and to support business objectives while enhancing employee engagement and accountability. The role also involves ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reviewing reporting for accuracy. The supervisor will foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, fair treatment of employees, and compliance with labor laws. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in hiring new personnel and promote best practices in safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance. Overall, this position is crucial for driving operational excellence and maintaining high employee morale in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
