Our team in Industrial Group Slip Ring and Marine is looking for a Value Stream Process Engineer to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Christiansburg, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or a bachelor's degree with relative work experience in a manufacturing role. An associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience functioning in a team-based manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Utilize word processing, database, and enterprise information systems software. Proficiency in Microsoft Suites is beneficial.
  • Be a self-starter as an individual and function efficiently in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Work on motion control and electronic components
  • Perform document review pertaining to contract, industry, and other regulatory flow downs.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
  • Review drawings, order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
  • Review and respond to request for quotes on new orders.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
