Provides leadership and management oversight of activities within all departments/functions that support the Value Stream and ensures the effective collaboration and performance of the Value Stream Management Team. Reports directly to the Operations Manager. Coordinates and directs PGL’s.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management/Engineering Degree or equivalent from four-year college or commensurate work experience required
  • Minimum 8 years required
  • Operational Acumen: Has a strong understanding of value stream operations, with the ability to manage and optimize daily production activities effectively.
  • Leadership Ability: Capable of inspiring and motivating teams by leading through example, providing clear guidance, and fostering a supportive environment.

  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
  • Medical Device manufacturing requires strict adherence to standards. Working environment is a manufacturing facility, which houses plastic injection molding machines. Must tolerate fumes and particulate generated from various plastics. Work areas are equipped with adequate lighting, cooling/heating and equipment that are in a good working condition. Must work constructively in an environment that may be stressful due to competing resources while at all times maintaining company confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and security of all colleagues in the Value Stream.
  • Co-ordination of production activities within the Value Stream to ensure on time in full delivery to the Customer.
  • Co-ordinate actions with Planning, Production, Tooling, Quality & Engineering to allocate production on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Provide essential productions reports required to monitor performance of the Value Stream including:
  • Prepare & present OEE data at Tier meetings.
  • Prepare data for customer reviews.
  • Ensure cycle counting, resin counting, and stock reconciliations are completed (where relevant) and identify corrective actions where required.
  • Provide operational data to the planning function to allow them to prepare an accurate production forecast.
  • Management of On Hold + Dev Eng. Material to ensure it is released in a timely manner.
  • Monitor performance metrics for the value stream and identify adverse trends.
  • Continuously drive operational improvement projects to deliver competitive advantage for both the Business and customer
  • Provide technical and production feed back to the customer on the required basis.
  • Ensure that the appropriate training curricula are in place for teams.
  • Ensure production batches are reviewed and released within the required timeframe.
