About The Position

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. Eaton's Charleston, SC location has long served as a Machining Center of Excellence for our Aerospace Group, with just under 200 employees, manufacturing hydraulic pumps for commercial and military aircraft. This is a Full-Time (M-F Daylight) role. Relocation benefits are available from within the United States! The Value Stream Manager will manage the high-performance work team and coordinate production activities and resources per established practices and/or policies within the job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or operations experience
  • 1+ year of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • 1+ year of experience in a machining environment
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be a U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • Machining experience

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering
  • Experience leading in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Experience with quality control techniques and quality systems (e.g. QS 9000, ISO 14001, ISO-9001, AS9100)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcement
  • Manage operational process to track and understand key operational metrics and develop action plans to improve operational performance
  • Partner with supply chain to ensure continuous alignment between demand forecasts and load/capacity plans to optimize schedule execution
  • Increase employee engagement and accountability to create a high performing culture
  • Develop and maintain the staffing strategy for the department
  • Drive continuous improvement programs and process improvements by applying the Eaton Business System and problem-solving tools
  • Hold dotted line reports accountable through tier 2 meetings and daily accountability tracking
