About The Position

Oversee and lead value stream performance to meet customer and business commitments (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Past Due) Lead cross-functional tier II High Performance Work Team (HPWT) in supporting value stream to meet daily and long-term initiatives Monitor and manage hourly and salaried resources in the assignment of work responsibilities, development, and alignment of resources. Provide the vision and strategy for the value stream. Evaluate value stream skills and competencies needs and develop resources to address gaps. Oversee and verify that all value stream manufacturing related activities are adhering to safety and quality policies and procedures. Review, and revise as production schedules as necessary to effectively plan department resources to meet production commitments within cost targets. Coordinate value stream activities with HPWT (planning, procurement, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and quality) to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Resolve manufacturing issues (i.e. resources, tooling, equipment, etc.) to minimize cost and prevent production delays. Develop or revise procedures and work instructions to reduce variation and improve value stream performance. Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the value stream through implementation of the Aerospace vision and the site strategic initiatives. (CIF, HPWT, Tier I & II, 4 step-process, 5S+, certified lean tool leaders, six sigma, etc.) Empower employees by driving decision making and continuous improvement down through the value stream.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with management of factory/manufacturing activities
  • Manager of people experience required
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Glenolden, PA will be considered.
  • Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
