About The Position

The Value Stream Team Production Manager will support the Senior Value Stream Manager in leading and improving manufacturing processes across multiple shifts. This role is responsible for developing supervisors, influencing workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in the processing and packaging areas. The ideal candidate is an expert in change management and skilled in implementing and maintaining visual management systems that enhance communication and performance tracking. Typical Shift: Friday through Sunday, 4:00 PM - 5:00 AM (with flexibility as needed)

Requirements

  • A track record of leadership in a manufacturing setting (especially food manufacturing is a plus).
  • Deep understanding of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement practices.
  • The ability to lead people through change-and the tools to make it stick.
  • Confidence using visual performance systems to enhance team communication and accountability.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting schedules and priorities while maintaining focus on team support and results.

Responsibilities

  • Grow future leaders by mentoring and coaching supervisors and team members across shifts.
  • Build consistency and collaboration by encouraging supervisors to share best practices.
  • Support each supervisor's Individual Development Plan and promote a culture of continuous feedback and performance growth.
  • Partner with the Senior Value Stream Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure goals for safety, quality, and output are met.
  • Execute our Operational Master Plan (OMP) and align teams around key manufacturing goals and KPIs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to keep operations aligned, productive, and agile.
  • Champion Marzetti's commitment to quality and food safety-ensuring every product meets our high standards.
  • Create a safe and respectful work environment for every team member.
  • Lead and support change initiatives that improve how we work and deliver results.
  • Guide your teams through transitions by communicating clearly, engaging team members, and coaching supervisors on how to lead change effectively.
  • Help design and implement visual management tools like dashboards and performance boards.
  • Train and empower teams to use these tools to identify problems, make decisions, and track progress in real time.
  • Spot improvement opportunities and lead Kaizen events or other problem-solving initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of our TPM (Marzetti Operational Excellence) tools to reduce waste and boost performance.
  • Support and participate in MOE health checks and coach supervisors to maintain strong compliance and sustainability of improvements.
