We are seeking a results-driven Value Stream Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our cUAS value stream. In this role, you will be responsible for driving daily execution of production schedules, coordinating with cross functional teams, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This is a growth oriented, midcareer opportunity ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in aerospace manufacturing who is ready to take the next step in leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related discipline.
  • 3–7 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or production coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement tools (e.g., value stream mapping, standard work, 5S).
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace/defense quality and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production operations within the cUAS value stream, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
  • Supervise and support frontline team leads, production associates, and support staff.
  • Monitor and adjust production plans in coordination with Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer demand.
  • Identify process bottlenecks, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve flow, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all aerospace/defense regulations and internal policies.
  • Support training and development of shop floor personnel to improve skills and performance.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems for tracking production status, inventory levels, and material flow.
  • Participate in audits, program reviews, and continuous improvement events (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks).
  • Provide regular updates on performance metrics and support escalation/resolution of production issues.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and costs for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
