About The Position

Contributes to critical business outcomes with the various value streams across multiple business areas. Focuses on solutions that help COUNTRY clients learn, shop, choose, buy and service our COUNTRY Financial products. Liaises cross-functionally with stakeholders such as product, marketing, sales, client services, and technology to ensure a seamless prospect/client/agent experience designed to drive and advance critical business objectives and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 14+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Comfortable operating in both business and delivery conversations.
  • Able to connect outcomes like growth, sales and client value to the technology and work needed to deliver them.
  • Works well across the organization. This role relies on influence, collaboration and strong relationships with business executives and leaders, product, technology and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker who can prioritize based on value.
  • Willing to make tough calls, ask the hard questions and push for clarity on why the work matters.
  • Brings ideas and perspective on where we should go next. This is not an order taking role. The Value Stream Manager helps shape direction and brings recommendations that move the business forward.
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow through. Keeps work moving, removes roadblocks and ensures commitments turn into real outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the strategy and vision for our critical business objectives and prioritizes work to achieve those business objectives.
  • Provides ongoing transparency of key results of critical journeys, communicates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analyzes problems, root causes, and experiments in order to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as it relates to critical journeys; Responsible for making data-driven decisions that improve the key performance indicators for their respective portfolio/value stream.
  • Coordinates with product, agency, user experience (UX), technology teams to help define needs, improvements, and critical features needed to achieve COUNTRY objectives.
  • Owns the pipeline of prioritized work based on highest value, impact to the value stream, outcome and key results, and impact to ongoing delivery of business-as-usual capabilities.
  • Oversees and provide direction to the various technical and non-technical teams and release trains that together constitute the program
  • Creates timely reports and updates for the leadership and stakeholders level regarding journey status, key decisions, impediments, and risks
