Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Value Stream Manager I at our Lynnwood, WA location. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience directly supporting operations
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent time management/sense of urgency
  • Complex problem-solving ability
  • Good judgment and decision making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field
  • This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other functions of the business such as Order Management, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Manufacturing and Design Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and Business Unit leaders
  • Drive accountability for daily performance reporting and problem solving of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety/quality/delivery/cost/growth (plan, do, check, and act)
  • Champion kaizen events with focus on continuous improvement and productivity initiatives; Support lean initiatives by leading/facilitating kaizen events
  • Develop associates to reach their maximum potential and build a highly skilled, highly regarded and highly motivated customer focused team
  • Participate in budget preparation and long-range capital planning
  • Own, develop, and drive the continuous improvement roadmap and implementation plan to achieve operational objectives and future state vision
  • Summarize results and prepare presentations for executive and customer review
  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy
  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise
