This position has overall leadership of the REX/DEX, and ANTMW area, supporting high profile programs such as Patriot, NASAMs, and DBR. As the Value Stream Lead your responsibilities include full management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for the multi-cell/multi-shift operation. The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the organization with a focus on improving on-time delivery and reducing overall cycle time. This position requires an independent, self-motivated leader, that can drive the organization to meet goals and objectives consistently. Daily interaction with other cross-business teams needed to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives is required to be successful. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/design engineering, maintenance, production control and finance as well as multiple Integrated Product Teams. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using CORE and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

  • Overall execution to delivery commitments.
  • Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement in a safe environment.

  • Support staffing budget oversight, workforce forecasting and planning and area layout and flow management.
  • Capital identification and control of overhead expenses.
  • Ensuring full compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in one or more of those areas: Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality.
  • Strong management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating
  • Manufacturing or industrial engineering and supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations
  • High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS)
