About The Position
As a Value Stream Intern at RTX Corporation for the summer of 2024, you will have the opportunity to work remotely while engaging with various components of Collins Aerospace that support aerospace connectivity. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Collins Aerospace, particularly in the realm of aircraft connectivity services and wireless connectivity devices. You will be involved in projects that integrate products across multiple departments, allowing you to gain insights into the workings of both Business and Commercial Aviation. Your responsibilities will include supporting product managers with monthly financial reporting, monitoring customer feedback in collaboration with sales and customer programs teams, leading a synergy project aimed at driving integration of processes or products, and maintaining engineering updates during monthly product roadmap meetings. This internship will not only enhance your technical skills but also provide you with a unique perspective on the aerospace industry and its evolving technologies. Throughout your internship, you will learn how to effectively communicate and collaborate within a complex cross-functional team, understand the purpose of connectivity products on aircraft—including hardware and subscription services—and implement cost-saving projects or product improvements across various products. Additionally, you will be exposed to emerging technologies in aerospace, such as satellite and cabin connectivity, which are crucial for the future of aviation.
