The Valuations Manager at Armanino is responsible for managing, reviewing, and delivering business valuation projects across various purposes, including financial reporting, tax, management planning, litigation support, and M&A. This role involves mentoring staff, preparing engagement letters, performing financial modeling, and ensuring project completion within budget and timelines. The position emphasizes strong client communication and relationship management, as well as internal networking to grow the business.

  • Manage, review, and deliver business valuation projects for financial reporting, gift and estate tax, 409A/ASC 718, management planning, litigation support, and M&A.
  • Manage and mentor staff and senior analysts, providing regular support and guidance.
  • Prepare engagement letters for new projects in collaboration with directors and senior managers.
  • Review, manage, and perform financial modeling using income, asset, and market approaches to business valuation.
  • Ensure all projects in the pipeline are completed on budget and on time, working closely with staff and senior analysts.
  • Communicate frequently with key client contacts throughout the valuation process.
  • Network internally to help grow the business and manage key initiatives and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an accounting or consulting firm.
  • Experience resolving external review issues (auditors, IRS, etc.).
  • Strong client communication skills and good report writing skills.
  • Financial modeling skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Relevant valuation designation(s) such as ASA, CPA, CFA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA.
  • Ability to develop external relationships and bring new clients into the business.
  • Strong client management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills.
