About The Position
Our Valuation internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in valuation. Prairie’s internship program will provide participants an in-depth look at our advisory services. Interns will work alongside our project teams, learning valuable skills and knowledge that will transfer to many professions. As a Valuations Intern, you will gain exposure to a variety of client industries and engagements, such as business valuation, ESOP advisory and other corporate finance assignments. Interns will work on their day-to-day responsibilities with support and mentorship from a variety of Prairie professionals. Our internship program is designed around our current business needs and the availability of the participant(s).
Requirements
- Strong interest in valuation
- Actively working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study
- Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance or Economics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage tight timelines in a team environment
- Ability to work 20 - 30 hours per week in our office
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
- Preparing client deliverables including: valuation reports, presentations and confidential marketing materials
- Conducting industry and economic research
- Developing and analyzing public comparable companies in support of various corporate finance assignments
- Participating in project discussions and internal meetings
