About The Position

We do Consulting Differently Part-Time Valuation Intern BRG Transaction and Valuation Opinions provides valuation services in support of (i) transaction opinions (fairness and solvency opinions), (ii) portfolio valuation, (iii) tax and financial reporting, (iv) litigation, and (v) special situations. Our clients include leading hedge funds, private equity and venture capital funds, limited partners, lenders, corporations, boards of directors, independent directors, and attorneys. We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Valuation Intern to support our valuation professionals across a wide range of engagements. This role is ideal for students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree who are interested in valuation, financial modeling, and consulting within the alternative investments space. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals and receive hands-on exposure to real client engagements. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Strong interest in valuation, financial modeling, and consulting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; prior exposure to valuation concepts is a plus
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical and projected financial information
  • Assist in building financial models used to value companies and investments
  • Aggregate, organize, and analyze large datasets in Microsoft Excel
  • Conduct research using financial and market data platforms such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg
  • Perform industry and company research to assess competitive positioning
  • Develop a foundational understanding of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work standards
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization
  • Communicate progress and findings clearly to team members
  • Collaborate effectively within engagement teams
  • Seek opportunities to learn, grow technical skills, and develop professionally
