About The Position

As a Director at RGCO, you will manage a department responsible for providing Business Appraisals, Transaction Advisory Services, and various forensic and litigation related services. The responsibilities will include reviewing and conducting comprehensive financial analyses and valuations of businesses across various industries, utilizing advanced financial modeling techniques primarily for purposes of financial due diligence, forensic analysis and valuation for mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, litigation support, and shareholder disputes. You will lead the strategic direction, operation, and management of these projects, prepare and supervise the preparation of detailed reports, present findings to clients, and stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes. You will be responsible for the growth and development of the professionals under your direction as well as the acquisition of new engagements and the fostering of business relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance, economics, mathematics, or accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years professional experience in business valuation, transaction advisory, litigation support or a related field.
  • Experience in management of or within a valuation and advisory practice is recommended.
  • Advanced knowledge of business valuation theory, economics, and principles of financial accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial statements, identify key financial metrics, and assess business performance.
  • Experience providing expert testimony required.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills needed to collaborate with team members clients and referral partners.
  • Outstanding writing, quantitative, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S., without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.
  • CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or other similar professional designations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Crystal Ball, CaseWare and/or SuraLink a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, and at times perform, in-depth analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant data to build complex financial models for valuation purposes, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
  • Supervise, and at times perform, the development of detailed valuation reports outlining methodology, key assumptions, and conclusions, including supporting documentation and data analysis to justify the valuation.
  • Lead client meetings to gather information, develop strategies, review status of active and pending projects, manage proposals on prospective engagements, and address any team concerns.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor analysis, and relevant economic factors impacting the department.
  • Oversee, and at times perform, necessary activity related to various transaction advisory services, including Quality of Earnings
  • Conduct and oversee legal proceedings by preparing valuation, forensic and/or damage reports and providing expert testimony when required.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, valuation concepts, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Lead new business development activities including involvement in relevant industry and professional associations and development and maintenance of client and referral source relationships.
  • Develop and mentor valuation and advisory professionals in career development.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to billing and collections.
