About The Position

At ASI, we are revolutionizing industries with state-of-the-art autonomous robotics solutions. Within the fields of agriculture, construction, landscaping, and logistics, we deliver technologies that enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency. With our core values of Simplicity, Safety, Transparency, Humility, Attention to Detail, Autonomy and Growth guiding everything we do, we're shaping the future of automation in dynamic markets. As a Validation Manager, you will lead the validation of robotics software systems, ensuring that products, processes, and platforms meet rigorous quality, safety, and regulatory standards. You will own validation strategy and execution across the full product lifecycle, from early design through deployment and continuous improvement. This role combines technical leadership, process ownership, and team management to ensure that autonomous systems are reliable, compliant, and ready for real world operation. This is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to approximately 24 months, though scope and duration are driven by business needs.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and validation methodologies.
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards such as ISO or IEC.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to design and execute validation strategies for complex, integrated systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead validation strategies for new and existing robotics software systems across the full product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with software, robotics, and quality teams to establish validation requirements from concept through deployment.
  • Oversee the development and execution of validation protocols including functional, performance, reliability, and system level testing.
  • Manage risk assessments related to software functionality, system behavior, and operational safety to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable standards such as ISO and IEC for robotics and software systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive validation documentation including test plans, protocols, reports, and compliance records.
  • Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the validation subject matter expert in cross functional teams, guiding development toward high quality and compliant outcomes.
  • Communicate validation results, risks, and recommendations clearly to engineering teams and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve validation methodologies, tools, and automation to increase efficiency and coverage.
  • Drive continuous improvement of validation processes in alignment with evolving technologies and industry best practices.
