The position involves performing data validation and quality control of environmental analytical data in accordance with EPA and DoD guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing data packages, coordinating with laboratories and project teams, tracking project deliverables, and ensuring data quality throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and 0-3 years of related experience
  • Ability to review environmental laboratory data for completeness; correctness; compliance against the published analytical methods
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously effectively and efficiently with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail, well-organized, and self-starter that can prioritize work assignments to deliver on time and within budget
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with US EPA methods for the preparation and analysis of environmental samples
  • Experience in working with government clients
  • Experience with USEPA & DOD guidelines
  • Familiarity with Access, EQuIS, and/or EQuIS DQM

Responsibilities

  • Perform data validation in compliance with EPA National Functional Guidelines and DoD Validation Guidelines
  • Verify all validation qualifiers and reason codes have been entered into the database and a quality control review has been conducted
  • Perform quality control reviews of preliminary and final analytical data packages
  • Coordinate with the project manager and field staff on field data collection issues and act as a point-of-contact on analytical data matters for the project team and analytical laboratories throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate with analytical laboratories to coordinate analyses and address data quality issues
  • Work with project teams to coordinate data collection, data tracking, and reporting while keeping to project schedules, scopes and budgets
