About The Position

We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry. This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us. THE ROLE The Systems Engineer will spearhead the transformation of our manufacturing validation infrastructure into a highly automated, resilient, and scalable platform. This mission-critical role focuses on architecting fault simulation and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to guarantee product quality at scale. You will be the systems-thinking leader, driving modern test practices and collaborating closely with cross-functional DevOps and Engineering teams. Your impact will directly ensure the reliability and operational excellence of our next-generation hardware-software solutions.

Requirements

  • Expert-level design and implementation skills in building and scaling automated CI/CD pipelines for complex hardware-software validation environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Deep technical expertise in fault injection design and resilience testing principles for complex, distributed systems (e.g., embedded platforms, storage, or high-availability services).
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for developing reusable test automation libraries and modular, configuration-driven frameworks that support continuous validation workflows.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and utilizing telemetry, logging, and observability frameworks to derive data-driven insights from test pipelines and define robust quality gates.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and own the high-scale validation platform, enabling asynchronous, modular, and CI/CD-integrated testing across global manufacturing and engineering operations.
  • Design and implement advanced fault injection and resilience testing frameworks to proactively simulate complex failure conditions across the entire hardware-software stack, ensuring system reliability.
  • Establish and govern data-driven quality through the definition of test criteria, quality gates, and the integration of observability and telemetry into automated pipelines for actionable system performance insights.
  • Drive the modernization of existing test frameworks into a unified, scalable automation strategy, mentoring cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA) on continuous validation best practices and reusable software components.

Benefits

  • flexible time off
  • wellness resources
  • company-sponsored team events
