About The Position

The Valet is responsible for providing valet parking service for residents and guests of Plymouth Harbor. Weekend Schedule - Saturday & Sunday, 11:00am to 7:30pm

Requirements

  • Less than a high school education is acceptable.
  • Must be able to safely operate vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be a detail-oriented person and able to perform duties with accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Must have excellent personal skills, demonstrating the ability to conduct oneself in a non-controversial style; a style that inspires the respect of others and promotes a sense of trust in the individual’s competence.
  • Must have good communication skills; speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Greet everyone in a friendly, upbeat, and positive manner; smile, make eye contact. Explain valet procedures and ask if resident or guest needs directions or assistance.
  • Open vehicle doors, assist driver in stepping out of their vehicles; help with walkers, luggage, parcels, etc.
  • Prior to parking, inspect vehicle and accurately note pre-existing damage on valet ticket or report it to Front Desk.
  • Give valet tickets to guests (only) and secure their keys in the locked valet podium.
  • Drive vehicles to and from a designated valet parking spaces (guests) or assigned parking spaces (residents) in a safe and efficient manner. Should it be necessary to adjust the seat, return it to the original position once parked or delivered.
  • Operate golf carts in a safe manner; do not engage without checking surrounding areas for safe operation.
  • Exercise caution regarding the location of concrete car stops in parking spaces; avoid connecting with car’s lower cowl.
  • Respond promptly to resident and guest requests.
  • Clearly communicate with other team members; use radios when necessary.
  • Maintain a spotless environment. Ensure that the valet podium and surrounding area, as well valet parking spaces, are free of trash and debris; notify supervisor of any concerns.
  • Call 555 in the event of an emergency involving the health and/or safety of a person.
  • Immediately report to supervisor any damage caused to vehicles.
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures to ensure a high level of efficiency, safety, and security.
  • Perform other duties to include assisting transportation requests, as deemed necessary or appropriate, or as may be directed.
  • Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and mandatory in-services as approved or required.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a clean, sanitary, and organized manner.
  • Ensure that work areas are neat and confidential materials are properly stored before leaving area on breaks, end of workday, etc.
  • Work safely; complying at all times with Plymouth Harbor safety standards.
