Residence Inn Oceanfront-Valet (Full Time and Part-TIme)-$13.50 per hour plus gratuities The Residence Inn Oceanfront is searching for energetic and motivated valets to join our hotel. Compensation: $13.50 per hour, plus gratuities and free parking. Full time and Part time positions available now. You will comply with hotel brand standards to meet guest expectations and create total guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Valid (state) driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Must successfully pass a DMV Check, Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Test.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Experience in hospitality industry in similar position.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Professional appearance
- Must have good understanding of the English language.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Knowledge of the local area.
- Candidates that have had their driver’s license suspended within the past year are not eligible for hire in the role of Valet.
- Must be willing to work holidays, evenings and weekends as required.
Responsibilities
- Work environment - Hotel lobby and entrance areas, all guest areas.
- Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, and chemicals.
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
- Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Reach overhead.
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8-hours in length.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
