About The Position

The position involves greeting guests and coworkers with a smile and making eye contact from their arrival to departure. The role supports the Valet manager in departmental initiatives related to the casino grand opening, including hiring, training, and process/procedure development. Responsibilities include valet car parking/retrieval, garage and parking oversight, cashiering, coat checking, and shuttle services. The position owns the Valet area arrival experience, ensuring cleanliness, customer-facing signage, and promptness from staff. It also involves developing and implementing goals and objectives for the Valet department, enforcing departmental procedures, investigating incidents, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires reviewing scheduling and staffing levels, maintaining tracking processes, and driving employee engagement and development. Additionally, it includes managing valet parking spaces, ensuring vehicle security, and adhering to company regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • 5 years of safe driving record with no moving violations or traffic citations.
  • Ability to drive all types of passenger vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions.
  • Exceptional customer service, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to uphold the highest level of integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Casino / Hotel experience preferred.
  • Experience within an upscale hotel preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in hospitality or service industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform valet car parking/retrieval, garage and parking oversight, cashiering, coat checking, and shuttle services.
  • Own the Valet area arrival experience, ensuring cleanliness and customer-facing signage.
  • Assist in developing and implementing goals and objectives for the Valet department.
  • Implement departmental procedures and policies to ensure efficient operations.
  • Investigate, follow-up, and report incidents and damage claims.
  • Handle guest problems quickly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Review scheduling and staffing levels to accommodate guest volumes.
  • Maintain tracking and logging processes to measure productivity.
  • Engage in leading employees, training, evaluating, and team building.
  • Drive a sense of urgency within the team.
  • Implement initiatives to improve employee experience and opinion ratings.
  • Manage the Customer Service Program and perform internal training.
  • Ensure security of all guests' vehicles while valet parked.
  • Set performance standards for staff and ensure adherence to company regulations.
  • Maintain valet receipts, records, and employee records.
  • Provide fair and consistent supervision and conduct performance appraisals.
