About The Position

The Valet Supervisor provides on‑site leadership and supervision, ensuring adequate staffing, training, and performance to meet the ≤10‑minute park/retrieval standard and patient assistance requirements. The Supervisor is the primary operational point of contact for COR/VA Police/Safety/AOD, manages incidents/claims, oversees equipment/signage/cleanliness, and enforces contractor policies (e.g., no tipping, uniforms, drug/alcohol).

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • Experience leading customer‑facing parking/valet operations; capable of training staff in defensive driving, patient safety transfer, emergency response, and customer service; participate in VA orientation.
  • Ability to manage electronic communications (e.g., text/app/phone), valet software/GPS, performance and QA reporting, complaint resolution within 24 hours, and meet performance standards.
  • Minimum 18 years of age; legal resident or U.S. citizen; fluent in English.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license in good standing; driver screening and periodic record verification (initial and every 4 years; post‑accident review).
  • Initial and annual safe‑driver/defensive driving, patient safety transfer, emergency response, customer service training; participation in VA‑provided orientation as required.
  • Health requirements: TB test, MMR, varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), physical exam to ensure safe operation; CPR/First Aid, bloodborne pathogens, and PPE training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous on‑site supervision; handle customer concerns, parking incidents, and process improvements; coordinate work with the COR.
  • Manage key control and after‑hours procedures (e.g., Dallas AOD key turnover and vehicle inventory log).
  • Oversee valet software/GPS deployment for request handling and TAT tracking; ensure non‑smartphone alternatives are available.
  • Direct traffic flow and staffing levels to meet ≤10‑minute requirements; conduct daily huddles and submit weekly/monthly reports (usage, peaks, incidents, complaints).
  • Lead accident/incident response, including immediate reporting/testing and coordination with VA Police/Safety; manage claim resolution timelines.
  • Professional conduct; photo ID badge and uniform (contractor‑provided; COR‑approved), closed‑toe black shoes; smoke‑free appearance (VANTHCS campus is smoke‑free).
  • No tipping; compliance with VA signage and equipment standards; cell phone use not permitted while parking or on duty; compliance with drug/alcohol‑free workplace and random testing.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/JC/DoT and VA policies; maintain QCP/SOP records, staff training logs, and incident/accident documentation; coordinate daily huddles and inter‑service communications.
  • Initial and annual safe‑driver/defensive driving, patient safety transfer, emergency response, customer service training; participation in VA‑provided orientation as required.
