About The Position

The position involves supervising the valet department at the Renaissance Saint Elm Dallas Downtown Hotel. Responsibilities include greeting and welcoming guests, assisting with luggage handling, and ensuring the safe and efficient parking of guest vehicles. The role also requires maintaining operational standards, training associates, and completing necessary paperwork.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent customer relations skills.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and computational ability.
  • Valid driver's license and meet company insurance requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage.
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote hotel outlets.
  • Offer information about hotel services, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage.
  • Call taxis for guests as requested.
  • Prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork.
  • Supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries.
  • Maintain the check-in station for appearance and organization.
  • Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies.
  • Promote a positive working environment for all associates.
  • Complete daily maintenance tasks for the valet stand and surrounding areas.
  • Safely operate guest vehicles and obey traffic laws.
  • Create weekly staffing schedules for the department.
  • Provide training for associates within the valet department.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and approve associate timecards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
