ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Open hotel main doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property. Assist guests with opening/closing vehicle doors. Welcome guests and visitors with appropriate greetings of the day. Acknowledge and greet guests within 25 to 30 seconds and provide professional, fast and friendly service. Able to communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors. Tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, registration number, make/model, room number or contact number of the guest. Verify guests' ticket with the one attached to the key before handing over keys or vehicle to the guest. Able to effectively park and retrieve guests' cars without causing damage to the vehicle. Ability to drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, special events Give fond farewell to all guests who are departing as per GSR standards Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, buses and rideshare. Responsible to maintain the security of vehicles, belongings kept inside the car and vehicle keys. Responsible for following up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction. Document and report all vehicle incidents like damage, accidents, theft, missing articles etc. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or manager. Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, portico and in the key booth Re-route traffic when parking space reaches maximum capacity and ensure staff is informed. Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Previous valet experience preferred, with 3 years' driving experience. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company. Ability of simple reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required. Must have the following skills: driving, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Must be a minimum of 19 years of age. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Previous Valet experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with Alcohol Awareness Card Valid driver's license and must produce acceptable driving record per GSR SOP from DMV annually to present to management to remain in position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently standing, walking and occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during over the duration of their shift. Team member will have to frequently push/pull and/or lift/carry 50lbs or less and 75lbs or less occasionally. Driving will constantly be required. The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and frequent repetitive use of both hands. Frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions and finger dexterity of both hands will be required. Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others around computer equipment. Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, confined areas, moving objects, slippery surfaces, dirt/dust, fumes/odors, and secondhand smoke.
