About The Position

Valet Parking Attendant greets customers and offers valet parking for their vehicles. Parks vehicles, and controls customer keys. Provides customers assistance in exiting and entering their private vehicles, and assistance in and out of wheel chairs. Department: Patient Services Hours: Part-Time Shift: Works rotation 5 days on (Thurs, Fri, Mon, Tue, Wed) then off for 5 days. Required: High School Diploma and IL Driver's License Pay: Based on experience, starting at $16.14/hour

Requirements

• High School (Required)
• Driver's License - State of Illinois

Responsibilities

• Assists in the transport of patients utilizing proper lifting techniques and appropriate equipment.
• Assists patients and visitors in and out of vehicles. Assists with personal belongings and luggage. Sometimes escorts patients to their appointments.
• Controls and keeps vehicle keys secure. Documents customer name and location.
• Covers the Welcome Assistant job duties in the absences of a Welcome Assistant.
• Demonstrates appropriate customer service behaviors and acts as a productive/professional member of the department.
• Greets patients and visitors to the Health Center and often gives directions.
• Interacts with other hospitality service staff (Volunteers, Customer Service Representative, Security, etc.) to facilitate customer access to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center services.
• Parks vehicles for customers of the Health Center and Medical Office Pavilion.
• Remains current on newly constructed areas, new physicians, and events within the Health Center.
