About The Position

The Lead Valet Attendant is responsible for ensuring the fast, friendly and safe operation of the Valet & Parking experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to present a valid MD State driver’s license record with no moving violations or traffic citations in the past 3 years.
  • Must be able to drive and operate all types of passenger vehicles with Automatic and Manual transmissions in a safe fashion.
  • Must possess great interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, fluent and literate in English.
  • Must be a self starter and motivator and capable of working at times without constant direction.
  • Ability to stand and walk, and mobility to move easily around entire property for entire shift. Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 80 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas.
  • Ability to run up and down stairs.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous valet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets everyone at all times. Smiles, makes eye contact and verbally greets guests and coworkers from arrival to the property through departure
  • Serve as Attendant, Cashier, and assists other operations as needed.
  • Direct traffic, monitor flow of parking and response times.
  • Respond to guest needs or concerns.
  • Write incident reports as needed.
  • When serving as a Valet Attendant, accept cars, write tickets, manage key control, return cars safely and promptly, run/jog always to ensure promptness, urgency and to role model for others.
  • When serving as a Valet Cashier, run point of sale system, charge guests accurately, tender payments, manage the automated parking system, call for retrievals, run reports, check coats and bags as needed.
  • Monitor friendliness and urgency of staff. Provide guidance and reminders to implement policies and procedures. Provide feedback on performance, including positive behavior as well as infractions/concerns to supervisors.
  • Monitor staffing and delivery times to provide observations and suggestions to supervisors.
  • Drives a sense of urgency within team; ensures attendants run/jog to and from cars.
  • Sets high personal standards for performance and encourages others to do the same.
  • Implements initiatives to improve the employee experience and employee opinion ratings.
  • Endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of the Company in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Service Profit Chain.
  • Consistently demonstrate legendary leadership, influence, drive, innovation and commercial awareness.
