The Valet Attendant at Nugget Casino Resort serves as the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience upon their arrival. This part-time position involves assisting guests with their vehicles, luggage, and inquiries, while ensuring a smooth and efficient valet service. The role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various tasks related to vehicle management and guest assistance.

  • Warmly greet all arriving guests at the valet entrance while providing courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic valet parking services.
  • Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid.
  • Report issues and/or potential problems to security or immediate supervisor to avoid traffic congestion and delays in the valet area.
  • Assist in regulating the movement and flow of vehicles to avoid traffic congestion.
  • Answer guest questions about hotel registration, restaurants, events, activities, and attractions.
  • Resolve guest problems within the scope of authority, otherwise refer to the supervisor on duty.
  • Report all alleged thefts or missing items to the supervisor and/or hotel security for further investigation.
  • Assist bell person with the movement of luggage as necessary.
  • Assist the bell desk, answering telephone calls, and walk-up guests' questions, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure guests vehicles are secured after parking and keys are secured in the key box.
  • Accurately complete guest claim tickets, ensuring all necessary information is noted on the claim check i.e., vehicle dents, scratches and or damage.
  • Match guest claim check number and the guests' last name to the claim check on the vehicle/keys to ensure delivery to appropriate guest.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going 'above and beyond' as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Minimum 19 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be skilled in manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required.
  • Valid Nevada driver's license and clean 3-year DMV record required.
