The role requires directing traffic in the parking area as needed and assisting guests in entering and leaving the parking area. Responsibilities include collecting and accurately labeling keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return, parking guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot while following all traffic laws, and operating vehicles safely and responsibly. The individual will also maintain cleanliness and order in the lobby, front door, bell stand, and luggage room. Additionally, the position involves marketing the entire hotel when rooming a guest and maintaining complete knowledge of hotel amenities, layout, local attractions, and airport transportation. Daily tasks include reading the log book, keeping up-to-date on in-house groups and functions, issuing proper luggage tags, storing bags properly, and cross-referencing when issuing. The role requires maintaining vehicle maintenance records, ensuring deliveries and luggage are brought to the correct rooms, and demonstrating readiness to help during peak periods. The individual will assist in the maintenance upkeep of the bell closet and carts, operate bell carts with care, deliver guest valet laundry promptly, and provide accurate directions and information regarding the immediate and metro areas. Reporting tips daily and demonstrating thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures are also essential responsibilities. The individual must ensure that all checklists and responsibilities are completed by the end of the shift.
