Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Those with a Diploma or Associate's Degree need to show evidence that they are actively enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.
  • One (1) to three (3) years nursing or health care experience.
  • Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. All newly hired Registered Nurses must have current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of orientation.
  • Able to travel between offices/vaccine clinic sites.
  • Minimum requirement of 2 shifts per week during vaccine campaign and then 24 hours per month in OMWS to maintain per diem status.
  • Minimum of 24 hours per month in OMWS CLINICS to maintain per diem status.
  • Available for retail client offsite needs and vaccine.

Nice To Haves

  • Ambulatory service experience and Vaccine Administration preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • previous vaccine experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of Ambulatory experience.
  • Proficiency in EPIC, SYSTOC
  • CPR
  • current state of CT RN licensure

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates basic skill in assessment of health care needs.
  • Demonstrates basic skill in planning for patient health care needs.
  • Demonstrates basic skills in implementing care to meet patient care needs.
  • Demonstrates basic skill in evaluating care delivered.
  • Documents outcomes appropriately, accurately and consistently.
  • Demonstrates basic leadership skills and professional growth, as evidenced by supervisory feedback and/or direct observation.
  • Performs decentralized laboratory testing as credentialed and following established policies and procedures.
