Responsibilities

  • Support new and in-line vaccine programs
  • Provide analytical assay support for in-line product improvement studies
  • Provide technical support for new and in-line products
  • Routine sample testing to support in-line product improvement
  • Participate in departmental and cross functional project teams
  • Perform analysis of vaccine products and process intermediates utilizing various analytical techniques
  • Document work as required for GMP compliance
  • Author scientific reports, SOPs, and assay procedures
  • Effectively summarize and present results and recommendations at meetings and technical review sessions
  • Interact with cross-functional team members to design studies that will provide meaningful results

Requirements

  • Experience with PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), Western Blot, Southern blot, Cell biology and/or virology experience
  • Strong laboratory/bench skills, with previous experience independently and collaboratively designing, executing and interpreting the results of analytical assays
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hands-on laboratory setting, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
  • Strong scientific, computer, organizational, and documentation skills, attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform method development and optimization
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques
  • BS/MS Degree in biotechnology, biology, cell biology, virology, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration with 1-2 years experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship
