THE DEPARTMENT The Direct Sales Team consisting of Customer Sales & Service, Charters & Direct Groups is responsible for creating happy guests and partners with sales success and providing outstanding service and support. This team increases passenger sales through the direct consumer and group sales channels. They develop and maintain sales by establishing direct buyer relationships and create demand for our products. THE ROLE Vacation Planner, Inbound Sales creates happy guests by greeting incoming calls from direct customers, to educate, consult, and help to transform travel dreams into vacations realities. THE POSITION The Vacation Planner, Inbound Sales is responsible for the following results: Reaching and exceeding sales objectives by selling travel packages and product up-sells Handling inbound and outbound sales calls and e-mails using our sales protocols Utilizing our sales platforms such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management), call mining software that highlights calls and creates learning opportunities, our phone systems, and more to facilitate a sales environment. Maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring customers receive accurate, timely, and quality information about the products we are supplying Answering customer inquiries by maintaining knowledge of key differentiators, marketing campaigns, product knowledge, and destination expertise Cultivating and maintaining on-going relationships with customers and influencing product loyalty and repeat customers. Developing business relationships and fostering a spirit of cooperation with GVI departments as needed to serve the needs of customers Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results or projects as needed or handling special projects as assigned. Participating in consistent training and upskilling to ensure high level results. Connecting with peers and leaders in a remote Teams environment EDUCATION The preferred candidate will hold an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; one-year + related experience in customer service, sales, or travel industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas: A minimum of1year +experience in a sales capacity within a call center environment Demonstrated ability to write effective email communication Ability to nurture customer relationships. Leisure travel product knowledge, specifically GFOB products, services, features, and benefits and an interest in Geography / travel. Ability to work in a call center environment that includes structure, shifts, performance measurements, etc. Understanding of inbound sales team schedule adherence requirements, schedules, phone requirements. While performing this job, it will require: Eight (8) hours or more a day of sitting; walking; standing; bending; answering the telephone; entering data into the computer; retrieving data from the computer or analyzing data from reports.
