About The Position

The JetVac Truck Operator is responsible for the operation, care and maintenance of the JetVac truck used for various installations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• A minimum of two years’ experience in trenchless installation, including boiler operation.
• A valid CDL driver’s license required with clean motor vehicle report.
• Must possess a CDL with required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brakes), compliant with Insituform’s motor vehicle standards.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately
• Ability to communicate with other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to use a computer to view data.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• regularly required to sit (while driving), talk, and hear without visual controls

Responsibilities

• Perform daily functional and safety inspections of assigned equipment, and any light maintenance needed.
• Ensure their assigned vehicles are properly maintained and in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Understand how to operate a Vactor 2100 series truck.
• Understand how to use the different pressures.
• Open and closes storm grates and sewer manholes.
• Clean and vacuum pipes and boxes.
• Clean and vacuum for CCTV crews and survey pipes for clients.
• Other tasks as assigned.
