The Vactor Truck Operator in Training is responsible for driving and operating equipment for a premier specialized construction support service position under direct supervision of a seasoned operator until fully able to operate solo. The work can be physically demanding but above all else, it is extremely rewarding! Your success will directly impact the environment & quality of water in your community! Requirements

  • Class B Driver's License - air brakes and tanker endorsement required
  • Background screening, driving record review, and drug test are all part of the pre-employment process.
  • The ability to acquire a DOT Health Card; and insurable status under the comany's auto policy are an ongoing requirements of this position
  • Experience using various tools and equipment used in oil, gas and energy sector including pipe and hand wrenches, hammers, shovels, and gas monitors
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and various terrain
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, squat, carry objects, push and pull
  • Proficient with mobile technology (ie. iPads, email, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate trucks and equipment, pre-trip preparations and post trip clean up
  • Clean catch basins, man holes, crawl spaces, hydro-excavate, and other duties as assigned and required
  • Conduct all duties in professional, courteous and customer service focused manner
  • Conduct all duties safely and maintain safety awareness at all times
  • Proactive team player who leads by example
