About The Position

Dane Street is currently seeking US-licensed Psychiatrists to conduct Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) reviews and assessments for Veterans Affairs (VA) disability cases. This independent contractor role requires the use of your own exam space and allows you to use your clinical expertise to support the disability claims process for U.S. veterans.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Active state medical license
• Experience in clinical practice in Internal or Family Medicine
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
• Must be U.S.-based and legally eligible to work
• Must have your own exam space, laptop or desktop, and secure internet connection

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of veterans’ psychiatric medical records
• Complete DBQs based on VA guidelines, using evidence-based assessments
• Provide clear, concise, and objective documentation that aligns with federal standards
• Ensure the timely completion of all assigned cases
• Maintain compliance with VA and Dane Street quality requirements
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with federal disability criteria
