The Opportunity Reporting to the VA Compliance Manager, this position supports all aspects of the VA State Approving Agencies (SAA) authorization processes and ensures compliance in all areas. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the completion and submission of VA program approval applications for all states in which we operate. They will also assist in preparing and submitting VA Compliance Survey, Risk-Based, and Targeted Risk-Based Survey packages to VA audit personnel. The candidate is responsible for data management and the maintenance of student records in compliance with Federal VA and State Approving Agency requirements. They are expected to work at the direction of the VA Compliance Manager, with limited direction from leadership. The Compliance Associate will work in close collaboration with other Worldwide departments to coordinate documentation for the VA education approval process in order to provide accurate information for program and certificate approvals for each ERAU Worldwide campus location. The candidate must be able to manage conflicting priorities and adhere to strict deadlines. The Compliance Associate will remain abreast of VA legislation, policies, projects, programs, and issues in support of Veterans Education Programs. They will assist in policy and program planning, and interpret, monitor, and analyze information related to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Above average organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize tasks.
  • Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft -Operating Systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and internet end-user applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in evaluating transfer credit or academic advising is highly desirable.
  • Military/dependent experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the completion and submission of VA program approval applications for all states in which we operate.
