The USACE NWO mission is to deliver vital engineering solutions, in collaboration with partners, to secure the nation, energize the economy, and reduce disaster risks by focusing on a diverse array of missions, including flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, environmental restoration, and regulatory oversight. Seeking UXO Safety Officer candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This as a Technical Element or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (UXO Safety Officer) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in UXO operations; conduct safety training; monitor compliance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols across all UXO operations, ensuring compliance with DoD and project-specific safety standards.
  • Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and risk assessments for UXO personnel.
  • Monitor on-site activities to identify and mitigate safety hazards related to UXO operations.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and incident reports.
  • Experience in UXO safety management; strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to UXO operations.
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
  • Familiarity with DoD safety standards, particularly DDESB TP 18.
  • 7+ years as a UXO safety officer; certifications such as UXO Technician III or IV required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in occupational safety or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in UXO operations, with 3 years in a safety role.
  • Safety protocol enforcement, training delivery, hazard identification.
  • Professional Licensure: UXO Technician III or IV certification, Safety Officer Certification.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • Team ProSidian shall obtain permits and licenses necessary to conduct the work required by this contract, including, but not limited to, environmental permits, building permits, discharge permits, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or state licenses for radiation activities, and Department of Transportation (DOT) permits for transport of Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) and Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) on public highways. Team ProSidian shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, including Technical Bulletin TB 700-2, “Department Of Defense Ammunition And Explosives Hazard Classification Procedures,” when transporting MEC.
