DevTech is looking for a UX/UI designer to work as an institutional contractor on its Analytics, Data, Visualization, and Information Services 2.0 (ADVISE 2.0) contract with the United States Department of State. The UX/UI designer will work with the Office of Global Food Security (GFS) to support Humanitarian Assistance (HA) across the State Department. The UX/UI designer and Analyst will support the Humanitarian Data, Assessment, & Coordination unit within GFS' Technical Quality & Assurance Division. The Humanitarian Data, Assessment, & Coordination unit strives to create and share decision support products with humanitarian assistance decision makers to improve their understanding of humanitarian needs, internal and external humanitarian data, and to improve the quality and targeting of global humanitarian assistance in crisis settings. Overall, this role is responsible for the look, feel and clarity of how the team's data graphics are visually presented. This role will perform user interface and user experience design functions across various digital assets as an integral staff member in the HA data space. The successful candidate will evidence a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology. Most importantly, this role will facilitates accessing data that will support HA staff decision making.
