We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated UX/UI Design Lead to partner with our fast-paced, innovative digital marketing agency on a freelance basis. In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping exceptional user experiences across multiple website projects. We’re seeking a problem solver with a sharp eye for detail who’s passionate about crafting engaging, interactive web-based deliverables.

Collaborate with creative leadership, project managers, designers, and developers to understand project goals, user requirements, and design specifications
Create wireframes to later translate designs into responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing user interfaces
Develop and maintain a consistent and cohesive UI design system, ensuring brand guidelines and design patterns are followed across all digital platforms
Create interactive prototypes and user flows to visualize and validate design concepts and functionality
Communicate your design strategy by creating meaningful UX deliverables such as sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, and presentations that help the team — and the client — understand what to build and why
Own overall end-to-end user experience — from the big picture (overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout or third-party integrations
Understand how to implement front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to create seamless and engaging user interfaces and solve specific UI challenges
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG AA)
Collaborate closely with front-end developers to create proof-of-concept demos of interactions and experiences you want to accomplish through the UI
Collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior UX/UI team members, sharing insights and fostering professional growth

Experienced with UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to implement user-centric design solutions
Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles, with an emphasis on optimizing user experiences across various devices and screen sizes
Proficiency in designing and building UI components using HTML5, CSS3 or SASS
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to finding solutions
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills in 1:1 and group meetings, both internal and client facing
