About The Position

CME Group is currently looking for a Customer Portfolio Summer intern. This candidate will assist the Customer Experience Research and Design team on day-to-day activities in support of a variety of initiatives for our Portfolio. We are looking for a highly organized and tech-savvy student to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead UX Researcher and the Product Owner to support the efficiency of our research operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys managing data and wants to learn how to facilitate seamless workflows in a professional UX environment.

Requirements

  • Research & Data Experience: Previous exposure to or experience in managing research projects and organizing data (academic or professional).
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Technical Aptitude: High level of tech-savviness with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and platforms.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate information to internal teams.
  • Learning Agility: A fast learner with a strong desire to understand UX research operations and contribute to the team's success.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Psychology, HCI, Information Science, Business, or related fields).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with UX research methodologies and Agile environments is a plus.
  • Experience with tools like Qualtrics, Maze, or database management software.

Responsibilities

  • Support Research sessions: Draft research scripts, manage notes and recordings, session analysis and report creation to derive insights from customer research.
  • Insight and Friction analysis: Collect, map and analyse customer friction points, define opportunities and insights.
  • Participant Management: Assist with the recruitment process for user research studies, including screening participants, scheduling sessions, and managing communication. You will help maintain our centralized participant database to ensure data integrity.
  • Knowledge Management: Support the management of the UX research repository, ensuring findings and raw data are consistently organized, tagged, and easily accessible for the team.
  • Tool Support: Assist in the administration of UX research tools (such as Maze, Dovetail, or Qualtrics) by helping to manage configurations and user access.
