The UX Designer will lead user-centered design for web and mobile applications, primarily serving health and public-sector clients. This role involves translating research and product goals into intuitive and accessible interfaces. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting user research and usability testing (both remote and in-person), synthesizing findings to iterate on designs, and creating various design artifacts such as wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, interactive prototypes, and detailed interaction specifications using tools like Figma or Adobe XD. The designer will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content strategists, and other stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and ensure proper implementation of designs. A crucial aspect of the role is contributing to and maintaining component libraries and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across projects. The UX Designer is also expected to advocate for accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG) throughout the design process, validate accessibility during testing, and use analytics and qualitative feedback to drive continuous improvement. Effective communication of design rationale to diverse audiences and mentoring junior designers are also part of this position.
