About The Position

ABOUT THIS POSITION UX Designers at Waystar are responsible for ensuring that the software we create is easy to use, easy to learn, and provides maximum efficiency for the user. Working directly with our energetic and dynamic head of User Experience, you will have the opportunity to be part of a highly effective team and build software you will truly be proud of. WHAT YOU'LL DO Working closely with Product Managers to transform business goals into actionable UX/UI business requirements in line with a user-centered design philosophy Collaborating with Product and Engineering to vet and refine UX/UI requirements Using UX/UI business requirements to develop conceptual wireframes and process flows Creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes when needed (for user testing, communicating requirements, etc) Fully owning design projects within an assigned product area Maintaining in-depth familiarity of features and value of the products within assigned product area Participating in site visits, interviews, and surveys to develop a thorough understanding of our users Using advanced behavioral metrics techniques to find opportunities for improvement Providing UX subject matter expertise within their design pod Providing design and process guidance to help other departments wherever needed ABOUT WAYSTAR Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience designing business software UX
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, a related field, or possessing equivalent experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of front-end technologies used to implement designs (HTML, CSS, etc.)
  • Natural ability to create and grow relationships between teams and across departments
  • Portfolio demonstrating design capabilities and track record of quantifiable results from past projects
  • Excellent heuristic usability analysis skills
  • Strong requirements-gathering and business analysis skills
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - quickly and iteratively, delivering on time
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated by solving complex problems

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Product Managers to transform business goals into actionable UX/UI business requirements in line with a user-centered design philosophy

  • Creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes when needed (for user testing, communicating requirements, etc)
  • Fully owning design projects within an assigned product area
  • Maintaining in-depth familiarity of features and value of the products within assigned product area
  • Participating in site visits, interviews, and surveys to develop a thorough understanding of our users
  • Using advanced behavioral metrics techniques to find opportunities for improvement
  • Providing UX subject matter expertise within their design pod
  • Providing design and process guidance to help other departments wherever needed
