About The Position
The Safety Technicians assist the Hazmat Specialist and the Hazmat Supervisor with the day to day operation of the Regulated Materials Management Center. We identify, categorize, transport and store all of the regulated materials that exist on campus.
Requirements
- Education: Current UW student
- Experience: General chemistry, biology, physics or engineering (college level preferred).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
- Pass required background check
Nice To Haves
- Candidate should be able to work in the summer months, academic breaks and between semesters.
- General chemistry, biology, physics and engineering (college level preferred).
- Computer skills and/or safety / environmental background preferred.
