There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.

The Program Assistants at UNC Chapel Hill will play a crucial role in supporting various college-access programs for rising high school seniors during the summer. These programs include NC-HCAP, Project Uplift, Uplift PLUS, and TRiO Programs (Upward Bound and McNair), all of which are part of the Carolina Higher Education Opportunity Programs (CHEOP) Office. The position is time-limited, running from now through the end of July 2025, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends required. The NC Health Careers Access Program (NC-HCAP) aims to increase the number of disadvantaged students entering health professions. The Program Assistant will engage directly with high school and undergraduate students, providing coordination and support for the Science Enrichment Preparation (S.E.P.) Program and the Student Leadership and Research Program (SLARP). The S.E.P. is an eight-week summer residential program that includes academic enrichment and clinical shadowing, while SLARP is a collaboration with the NC School of Science and Mathematics, focusing on health professions exposure for high school students. Additionally, the Program Assistant will lead the planning for Health Careers Day On The Hill, another exposure program for high school students scheduled for the Fall 2025 semester. The Project Uplift and Uplift PLUS Program Assistants will support the coordination and implementation of these college-access programs, providing participants with valuable experiences related to college admissions and readiness.
